Bathford Primary School

New Hall, Kitchen and Classroom Facilities

The contract value was £530k and the contract period was October 2009 to June 2010.

This was the last of a series of projects that we were involved at this school. The first (value ~ £400k) consisted of the construction of a number of permanent classrooms to replace modular buildings. This project involved the extension of the main school building to provide a new hall, kitchen, toilet and administration facilities. The project was completed on time and to budget.

The project was entered into and won the 2010 BANES Building Control award for the best public sector building and was carried forward to the South West award where it was recognised for the quality of the building.

The client commented that “I was very pleased to see the highly commended award for the building quality of the school ……. it’s a real tribute to all of the hard work.”
